All functions due to transistors.
@0752532706 But in terms of actual product and useful impact, I think the internet will have a greater eventual effect, in the way it disseminates knowledge. Yes, it couldn’t function without a transistor, but a transistor couldn’t function without other things, it is all built on top of eachother, going back to coal and iron and solder and silicone wafers and many other things. If you are truly going to look at the greatest invention you have to look at what practical object changed the lives of a large slice of humanity, I feel.
computers have changed how we live, work and communicate.
