Yay! And being any of those things does not mean we automatically understand the others. I am gay, but, for example, I have come in just the past 5 years from knowing next to nothing about trans lives to now personally getting to know several trans folk and to almost having a clue, I like to think. We can all benefit from learning of others' life experiences and not only defending the rights of others but also genuinely caring for people different from ourselves.
