Hi, Dave,

You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.

Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.

Then, as you may know, you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.

In case you don't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.

How's this? Today Karen and I hiked to the summit of Mission Ridge Ski Area, Wenatchee. WA. We went up steep ski runs, gaining 2,255' in elevation over 8.3 miles total.

A great leg-builder. My legs are shot.

The summit is at 6,755' elevation. Gorgeous views for skiers and hikers. Photos:

  1. Mt.Stuart, 9,416', from the summit.

  2. Extremely rare Tweedy's Lewisia only grows in North Central Washington, at certain elevations and exposures. It's like Hawaii! My favorite wildflower.

  3. Glacier Peak, 10,000', from the summit.

  4. Marsh Buttercups growing in a wet area by a stream. We have never seen these flowers at Mission Ridge Ski Area.

  5. An unusual white Lupine flower. Lupine are usually blue.
