I'm going to be in DC this weekend. I have a place to stay, but am traveling alone and would love to meet up with someone to have dinner with, tour the city, show me around! I'm wondering now if this might belong somewhere besides as a general post, but, oh well! Any DC people who would like to "tourist" this weekend? Let me know!

I am not from that area in any respect. But your post reminds me of the few times that me and a friend went to DC a few times back in the 80's. great times, and the smithsonion was more than I could have imagened.

Sorry for the mispelingings, I have a tough time writing on my phone.

I just love the city. And everything there is free! Except food, of course. I could spend a month just at the smithsonian, and there are new museums too! ?

@Kokovoko1 agreed. I've had the pleasure if seeing some of the great exibets DC has to offer.

Hi, Koko,

You earn website points, and help other members get to know you better, when you write an informational profile that includes your hobbies and interests, and answer all the profile questions, since that's the first place many people look when they see a new member.

Also, the website uses your profile to find member matches, so the more details you include, the better the match.

Then you make comments and write your own posts to earn more points and privileges; for instance, at level two you can private email people. You get different perks with each level, and when you reach level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.

In case you don't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Meet" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Or click on the "About" button at the top of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.

I’m really confused by your post. Why is it here? Yes, I’ve done all that.

@Kokovoko1 I thought you had also, until you made a declaration on the discussions about a meet up without using the "Meet" app or locating people near you with the members button. Many people post on here for months without knowing those things. I sure didn't. I read and reread the FAQ but it still took other members showing me before I began to get the hang of this place. I decided I'd been mistaken and you were newer than I thought.

@birdingnut ahhhhh, thank you!

These types of posts give me very strange dreams. Did i go? Did i meet that person? Did i do anything appropriate?

Reality knows no bounds, these days.
