Normally I'm very proud of my little town and generally think that the citizens do a fair job of being decent caring human beings, esp. in this day and age. But recently I've witnessed two different incidents, both involving vehicles, that have raised my ire. The first occurred yesterday. An elderly couple was at the pick-up entrance of a local grocery and taking a few minutes to get their groceries in the car and the woman in the passenger's seat. This jerk in a pick-up with a huge American flag Don't Tread On Me decal pasted across his back window was gesticulating impatiently at the couple and kept revving his truck aggressively. (I hope he had his window open, b/c I said LOUDLY, "You can't wait 5 minutes for an older person? What a jerk!" ) THEN when they were done, he parked illegally in front of the grocery. I checked-no disabled parking permit on display ANYWHERE. And he walked off to shop at a different store down the way. IF the transit hadn't just arrived, I would've snapped his license plate and sent to Abingdon's finest. Then TODAY when I get to the library, I see in front a car parked there in the middle of day with a small dog inside. It was VERY hot. No windows cracked. I went in and reported it. One colleague asked, "Did you break the window?" Another came out with me, and we were going to call the police. But the owner of the car had gotten in and saw us coming and drove away speedily. WTF is wrong with people???

I shouldn't be giving people these type ideas, but an old biker thing for cars driving radically is hand full of marbles, the glass marbles will explode when they hit a windshield and take the windshield out as well! Too be used if you have someone who is really driving like an asshole this will get there attention!

See those types all the time I am waiting for a disabled spot (I am disabled) the woman is placing her child in a car seat with car door wide open. I am in a big white 4x4 pu this woman swings in the handicap place parts over the blue line in front of me I said I was waiting for it she said did not see me . Really a full size pu you can't see. Then some asshole said he did not see my truck either but had to swerve around it to get past it. I guess because they were the same minority they felt they can back each other up and be assholes. This was in a Walmart parking lot!

As far as the ass in the pickup, a toothpick is very effective for letting the air out of tires.

Just a bad run sez I. The contrary nonsense tends to stand out just by virtue of its violent nature. And it's an evolutionary trait to pay attention to these backsliding cusses for the sake of your own wellbeing.
