Atheism is a side effect of being open-minded yet rational. All the other benefits listed in the article are also benefits of skeptical, careful thinking.

No guilt over sinful behaviour!!

Yep the big sin guilt trip the only sin is when you hurt someone

religion has a built in escape clause. You do something wrong go confess your sin you are saved. Give your life to Jesus with last breath you get to go to Heaven. So they can be as big of a asshole as they want just remember the escape clauses.

I may "sin" but I think that is the human condition and I'm not going to get my garters in a knot over it.

We ARE being told. In fact we are the most guilty and sinful of the lot, it just makes no difference to us.
