U.S. unemployment claims fall to 222,000, the lowest in 44 years!
Great news for America!
Great news for all the homeless and those living in US tent cities.
And those who need to claim government assistance because their wages are so shit.
I don't understand why people apologise for this stuff.
The longer and deeper the recession/ depression - the longer its recovery. A lot of deferred maintenance took place during the Great Recession, eventually, it gets done, like now.
Tragically, it could have been eased years ago had the Republican Congress worked with - instead of against President Obama.. The ‘Obama Recovery’ won’t last forever though … as the same idiot attempting to destroy his every accomplishment will soon screw this up, too. Tariffs, anyone
That by itself is good news. But it is only a part of the picture. Salary stagnation hasn't changed significantly. Small salary increases are bring found in some industries, but lagging behind overall. The type of jobs is another indicator that needs to considrred. The greatest jobs increases seem to br occuring in the service industries. These jobs are typically low paying, have few or no benefits. Your declaration would carry significantly more weight if more higher paying jobs (ceos don't count), with benefits, and we're career oriented were on the rise. Unfortunate they are not as if yet. When that trend begins to show up, then we can celebrate. Until then, your praise for jobs numbers are kind of hollow. Sorry

and let me counter it with this from 2 months later:

Clearly, one could argue that the reason there were less unemployment claims in October 2017 is because the unemployment insurance had run out for a lot of people and they were then forced into homelessness.
I mean, you were going to argue that Trump was somehow to be congratulated right? Well, then, we need to also condemn him for the increase in homelessness.
