I frequently have men profess their love for me, and then they need money....

@HippieChick58 Watch out for them! It is because you are older. Some guy who claimed to be in the military but was stationed in saudi arabia and claimed to have a chinese daughter who lived in africa with a nanny who's mother died tried scamming my mom like that. Said he was getting paid but he needed to send the money to her but she had to pay $300 in order to recieve the suit case that was supposed to be full of money. My mom told him she couldn't pay that and he got mad and tried guilt tripping her. My mom still believes to this day that it was legit. I tried telling her it was a scam but she doesn't believe it. Please be careful!!

@AccursedHalo Thanks for your concern - but they're so easy to spot, I'm not remotely worried ! No way would I send money to anyone.

I have seen so many scams. My rule is if I haven't met you face to face you aren't a real person. Recently I had been corresponding with a "local" guy who went to Cyprus to do some work, he needed a new Macbook and watch because his got busted enroute and there was no one else to ask (poor baby). I asked for proof of identity and security for the loan. OMG, the stuff he sent. I wanted to see a picture of his driver's license, he left it at home while he traveled. It is morbidly amusing to see what they will come up with. Sadly I've known ladies that have sent big money to these creeps. I got unfriended by a Facebook friend when I let her know the man she was sending money to was now hitting me up for money. How terribly sad for her.

@HippieChick58 I'm always amazed at how gullible some people are - and this sort of thing happens to women and men. But these jerks wouldn't continue to do what they do, if it didn't sometimes work !
