I believe that to be true.

Not in my case. At this point in my life I don't want anything to do with religion. I would only consider it if they were only nominally religious and honestly had no interest in trying to convert me.

True because most religious people need support in their belief. They are not confident enough in their belief to just live and let live, they need reinforcement from their partner. Us other types know it's b.s and don't need anyone to support our belief.

It depends upon the religion!

I could never date a religious person. Doesn't make any sense.

I'd say true

I have usually found that to be true although I have sometimes been so turned off by a woman's religion as not to pursue them further. But then a month ago a baptist boinked me. It was just meaningless sex. But a baptist? I surprised even myself. Sorry. TMI?

Depends on the person. Atheists more likely to be willing? No clue. Personally, I have no interest wasting waste time dating a person who values faith (belief without evidence) over testable facts. so in my case: False.

I can't fathom dating an overly religious person. It's not a mindset I can embrace. I've definitely been approached by religious men that want to date me knowing i'm not religious and advocate against religion, so I can't wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

Oh I think absolutely, especially if the guy is the atheist. Alot of guys will lie to get what they want, I think far more than women do.

Most of the guys I date are believers.
We just agree to disagree.

I think thats so true. i tried to be respectful of others beliefs, but they just can't seem to respect the fact that i don't share their views.

I wish it was like this, but religious people sometime make things so complicated with their beliefs at times. It always goes into them trying to convert me or threatening me in some type of way, which is a major turn off. I can respect a religious person...but it’s not always the case with them, though.

Nope...I will never date a religious person.

Anytime someone tells me they're Christian I turn and run the other way. If they are Bhudist I would. Just depends I guess. I've had horrible experiences with evangelical Christian types.

Buddist, sorry poor spelling

I think more atheist would date a Muslim than a Christian. Not based in fact, just an opinion.

I don't think I would want to date a religious person. Comments insulting religion fly from my mouth before I can stop it. So no religious person would want to. I guess I'm safe!

I have never yet, on a dating site, told anyone "You seem nice, but my atheist beliefs forbid me from dating outside my atheism." But I have had religious people tell me they couldn't date atheists, no matter how nice.

Depends on each person and level of religious beliefs.

I am an atheist and will not date a religious person. I have no interest in dating someone who cannot figure out that religion is a con job. Same goes for believing in things like astrology or that the universe is a sentient being that wants me to be successful.
