Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Personally I am a Francophyle, love thier food language and culture, I despise however their fascination with cruel methods to achieve the desired gourmet result, I speak of Fois Grasse and veal, force feeding the bird until his liver bursts, and locking a calf almost from birth in a dark box, so it can't move for tender meat...despicable.

That's appalling. My goodness.
I've just been reading about the French nuclear tests in the Pacific.
That veal thing is terrible though.
I don't mean to exclusively blame the French..many countries are guilty of this abomination.. it has not been outlawed everywhere yet.
This and other things. Anthony Bourdain deliberately ate foie-gras to annoy animal rights activists.
To me that screams 'douchebag'.
So I can't understand all this hero worship there is for him.
I liked Bourdain..but there should be restraint and respect on all fronts.
well, i wouldn't, but good on them for acting on behalf of an entire species of maltreated sentient beings. i'm all for it
