To the optimist, the glass is half-full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half-empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

To a scientist, it is half full of water and half full of air.

To a non-theist there is nothing there.

And to the physicist it is in stable equilibrium

To a rational person, the glass is always full regardless of it's contents.

It's all about what's in the glass before worrying about how full it is....

To the realist the glass is broken, keep it ril, buy a new glass.

As a writer, I see this as analogous to buying a new wardrobe.Preparing for the glass, I clean out my closet.

But an Irish man knows ther glass can be refilled.

Grayghost Level 6 June 28, 2018

It depends on what you are planning on doing with the liquid in the glass. If you plan on drinking it then in the process you are going to empty the glass.
Also Matter is mostly empty space anyway

AbZinthe Level 4 June 28, 2018

As a volumetric problem solver, your engineer would be fired immediately. A real engineer would say that the glass is approximately 1.25992 times too large.

Who will say that the glass is half-full of water, and half-full of air?

BondJ486 Level 3 June 28, 2018

To the scientist the glass is always full because it's one half drink and one half air smile009.gif
