Does anyone else think that Supreme Court terms should be limited? How long should a term be?

They should be limited to 12 years or age 70 but they should also be elected by the people and not by the senate as they are to important to be trusted to 100 out of a nation approaching 400000000

"If there is no change expected then there will be no change" Wearing the same clothes every day IS a bit boring.

I’m on the fence with his one. Age limit perhaps?

yes - 12 years sounds about right. The trouble with old people is that sometimes they refuse to accept that a younger person might do a better job.

A lifetime appointment leaves them free of attoning to corporations, to constituents, to contributions, to lobbyists. They are free to interpret the Constitution without loyalty to anyone but that scrap of paper protecting us from tyranny. It doesn't always work as will are going to see as the Putin coup d'etat gains momentum.

or it leaves them free to accept bribes for life

@PalacinkyPDX Well that was the concept put forth by the founders.

nope. limiting terms makes politics even more a part of judicial rulings.

All politicians need term limits,I'd say no more than 6 years(if that),there's no turn over unless someone dies or steps down. As bad as some of the countries with "President for life",once in office, almost impossible to remove.
