It is kinda scary to think that some people don't believe in evolution, imagine if they somehow convinced schools to teach that evolution is a lie. I am pretty sure that 34% of American adults don't believe in evolution, imagine if that number grows to 50%

I don't believe in it either. I lean more toward Lloyd Pie's Intervention Theory.

@MichaelSpinler Actually, if you read the book Intervention Theory, the theory of evolution is thoroughly debunked. I dare you to read it instead of just repeating what you've heard, without thinking.

If you're surprised at how many Americans reject the Theory of Evolution or don't understand it and/or know little or nothing about it, then I'd say you're not well informed on the state of the Union. It says a lot about several things in the country: (1) the continuing power of religion, (2) a failing public education system, (3) the lack of scientific understanding.

Number three is brought about by both 1 and 2.
