Post op. Lots of pain. Meds making me very sick. Miss you guys! August cannot come too quickly.
P.S. Drugs are giving me weird dreams. I woke up and told my daughter we HAD to build a "mushroom-driven, donut-eating multi-dimensional time machine so we could go back in time far enough to avoid the surgery." Then promptly passed out again. Woke up some hours later - she confirmed my orders and that she has not started to build the machine.
Fire your daughter and hire someone who will take orders better
Can't she does the cooking
Lol! Take it easy and get well soon! I feel your pain...
I'm at about the two-month point after shoulder surgery. Just as the pain started subsiding it was time to start physical therapy and bring it on again. Gotta do it, though
Oh, I so hear you about PT aggravating the pain. I take a Tylenol before my visits. I hope your shoulder is doing well.
Take care! I am a person with absolutely no tolerance for pain killers I get super weird and my blood pressure drops to a rate just above passing out. I had hip replacement surgery a year ago and had to do the recovery with Tylenol and aspirin.
OMG! You poor dear! A friend of mine had a hip replacement and said it was horrific. I hope you ultimately benefited.
@pixiedust Yep, surgery was a year ago and I'm doing great. I had an anterior surgery so I only have about a 3" scar on the front of my thigh close to my hip. The longest healing was from all the cut nerves and waiting for them to reconnect rather than have a weirdly numb thigh.
I was 22 first time I had any narcotics, tylenol3 and then percocet just after wisdom teeth removal. Had a waking dream in which I was friends with Vampires that ended up feeding on my girlfriend. Was my first such experience.
Hope you feel better soon. If you figure out the physics on the mushroom driven, doughnut-eating time machine please let us all know.
Your poor girlfriend!
My daughter made the fuel into cream of mushroom soup - delicious, but nor useful for transportation.
Uhhh, what drugs are you on and can you spare a few?
Sorry, the doctor took them away. All I have now is acetaminophen.
Probably not as serious as what you're going through but getting my knee replaced 5 July. Will leave directive to ignore all opiate driven statements. Hang in there!
Sorry! That sounds awful.
I remember being in the hospital and on strong pain drugs - and saying "Dynasty is the best show ever!".
Yup I was pretty out of it.
Hang in there and tell you daughter to disregard your orders to build unless you develop blue prints.
LOL - at least I said nothing about Dynasty. I did take to watching documentaries about cannibalism.
P.S. No blueprints yet although she did make cream of mushroom soup the other day.
