I think a lot of Monsanto haters are going to be disappointed with the outcome. The fact is that decades of research haven't linked glyphosate to cancer.

The name Monsanto will always be synonymous with poisoning people and destroying the world's food supply... just like Bayer is synonymous with killing Jews with their gas in gas chambers and "buying" them to experiment on with their chemicals during WWII. Don't be fooled by the name, "Bayer." They don't just produce aspirin, they produced carnage in mass proportions.

And now Bayer owns Monsanto. Do we really want a chemical/ poison company in charge of our crops and seeds,

But Monsanto isn’t really the bogeyman so many make them out to be. So many of the claims I’ve seen leveled against them have been false conspiracy theories.

@Katrik Even IIIII cannot eat genetically modified corn because it causes gastro-intestinal issues. And you know makes GMO corn GMO? The seed has been modified to contain the bT toxin - which is a Monsanto patented chemical which kills insects by making their gastro-intestinal systems explode if they bite into the plant. You cannot tell me there is no correlation. Corn doesn't give you the shits.... the bT toxin in it does. They should be removed from the planet. We haven't even begun to see the collateral damage those greedy monsters have caused.

@LunaGreenwitch Think skeptically, please. You baselessly claim that a toxin, that has been extensively studied in the lab and demonstrated to have no effect on humans, is hurting you based on.... what? Your gut feeling? "Common Sense"?

You are falling prey to conspiracy theorists' nonsense. Monsanto is no different from any other corporation. I'm sure they have some dirty laundry, no business doesn't these days, but they are hardly the Dr. Evils that so many seem to think.

My nephew did ChemLawn work for a year. I worry about his long term health with the exposure.

He did everything he was taught to do though so hopefully it was minimal.

I don't even use this in the yard at all anymore. Weeds are just flowers you didn't plant!

Finally! And they bought the Bayer company and are retiring the name Monsanto because of the bad press. So now, a trusted name like Bayer will be making the Roundup... crazy world.

You know it's bad when their best option to improve their image is adopt the name of the company that produced the gas for Nazi gas chambers and "bought" imprisoned Jews to experiment on. Bayer does NOT have a good name, and I will not patronize them either.

According to my reading and since that is number one, they only have at least 999 more to go 😟

Great. They are a vile company.

Why? What exactly have they done?

@Katrik Look at what is happening in India due to Monsanto. Indian farmers are killing themselves because of what Monsanto is promising them.

@Jolanta You’re going to need to be more specific. A quick google search for india monsanto, showed a few articles about a court case where the indian government said they can't patent bt cotton.

@Katrik If you put into google the following; Indian farmers suicide monsanto. You will get plenty of articles referring to the matter.
