I'd like to see them eliminate that like button. I think people use it to rack up points for whatever reason. Wouldn't be better to have a 'What do you think' box? Maybe get more opinions and advice out there. A comment is a whole lot more supportive than a like box. I don't even check in on my likes. Now comments whether it be constructive or scathing is valuable.

I like the hell out of everything. Not for the points, but because I am supporting the people who comment with ideas or opinions similar to mine without having to repeat it all myself. I think it is a quick acknowledgment in an age when instant feedback is better than none. I like to comment on a lot of things as well...I think giving people options engages more people than to narrowly force them into a "box".
