Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.It's kind of weird..Thai Buddhism has a lot of Hindu and folk religions mixed in, as well as local mythological beliefs.
Thai rice farmers depend on rain, so weather is a high priority for them.
But it's still mildly amusing that Christians often say similar things when praying for something.

Because people always ascribe all-too-human characteristics to their Gods. People can't imagine a God that doesn't have human goals, desires, whims, feelings, reactions, etc.
