Important feature of religions' survival mechanism is to train believer's to think any contradictions and fallacies they discover about their religions are due to their fault of lack of understanding and it is their duty to come up with an excuse for the contradictions and fallacies to redeem their fault.
I never felt that way. Their problem not mine.
Agreed, and if all else fails have the believer feel that the challenge to their faith is a test from God/Satan/other deity.
Yep. That was a large part of our training in Bible College. Or, we told ourselves that non-believers were so desperate to remove God from the equation that they obviously had to come up with alternate theories and criticism. So we felt better about ignoring the alternative explanations.
