My gym update ! So I went online last night after coming on here complaining about the annoying Christian music being played during my CrossFit to look for an iPod with workout headphones. Today I just had to use my iPhone and listen to music. Lmfao if only y’all could see all these people’s faces while Christian music was playing and I was the only one with headphones on so I could get motivated enough to workout. I refuse to let that get in my way of my goal to lose weight and get healthy. I would go to another gym, but this one is the only one in my town with a CrossFit class , plus the only time Christian music is played is for only a little while when certain people are in charge. They in fact have normal music playing. Sorry for my little rant. I just had to share this with y’all cause around here where I’m at I always have to be careful who I talk to about being against Christianity. Sometimes I’m convinced someone did this purposely.

I agree with your use of an iPod or any device to get a better musical beat going. The thing I find about modern Christian music is that it has no soul. It is very simple (music theory 101). I love music. And there are many old musical pieces that have musical soul. Those aren't the pieces I would choose to listen to, but they are good.

In general, I'm for no music anywhere. Especially any music with lyrics. Muzak is preferred if there has to be noise. The asian buffet has asian language stuff happening. That's fine. But, for most restaurants,.. the music is for the staff, and of course to diminish the over-hearing of conversations.

Rain, wind, surf,... all better choices than most every thing else. Least annoying to most everyone. And reduces the likelihood of adding the place to my "don't go there again" list.

"Michael Row the Boat Ashore" would be a good one for the rowing machines.

My advice is to stop playing ANY music and let patrons listen to their own particular music genre using their music player and earphones if they so choose to do so.

I hope this thing with the headphones works, and you get the work outs you want. Its too bad you couldn't play your own tunes over the Pa system or whatever that would be pretty funny

That’s be priceless!

@EmeraldJewel yes it would lols

@EmeraldJewel Yeah, let's see how they like it when some hip-hop could be spewing from the Pa system loaded with the "N" word. LOL!!!

You should find out where their music player is and find a way to play “sailing” by Christopher cross on an indefinite loop until someone finally loses their mind. Jen you could say “now y’all know I felt listening to smooth acoustic songs about Jesus and trying to work out”. It’d be elaborate but epic If achieved.

Lol awesome idea!

Could be...Christians like to speak Jesus stuff! But, you have a mission and purpose! Best of luck!
