What is Trump doing?

In light of what's been revealed today (Friday the 13th, July, 2018) about Russia’s attack on our democracy, would not the president going and shaking hands with Putin be a moment of historic cowardice - and disrespect to America?

Further, since there is obviously a lot of concern that people on the Trump campaign - and potentially even the Trump Family itself - may have conspired and coordinated with the Russians in their attacks against our elections, don't you think it would be simply insane for DT to then go and have a private, closed doors meeting with Putin?? Does he not see how bad that looks for him? And what a slap in the face it is to Americans whose election process was meddled with by Russian agencies?

Putin will eat him alive and that ignorant fuck won't even know it.

2

Please don’t refer to him as our President. He is our fake President.

I do understand the sentiment

You say that like he's concerned about optics. With an overwhelming 30% support support from his base & the GOP tending his dumpster fires back in DC while he's on another Make America Humiliated Again tour around Europe. He's not concerned about appearances. Right away, He tells NATO they're not spending enough & should be buying more american military hardware, Merkel's beholden to the Russians, checks his watch and determines that he's running behind on offending the Brits, so he flies to London, cries about not feeling welcome (no shit! ya think?), and shows up late to a further snubbing of the queen. Guess he's gotta make a lasting impression before his one-on-one with his boss in Helsinki. Moscovian candidate doesn't give a fuck what anybody thinks. He knows Mueller's taking so long because of the sheer volume of material against him, so he's gotta hurry up and set as much ablaze as he can. Giuliani, Hannity, and the GOP can only hold off lucidity for so long.

Great comment.

he knows Congress will do nothing and his 35% will remain solidly his no matter what he does. As long as dim-wit single-issue voters keep giving him another 7-10% for knee-jerk inducing statements (lock her up, build a wall, rapists and murderers) or appeals to the appearance of a good economy he will keep his support at 45% minimally so he is unstoppable as long as he keep democrats divided over some issue. The US has become a victim of its' own idiocy and Faux "news" was right there wielding the axe.

He does not care how it looks. He thinks that nobody will attempt to call him on any of his BS. And so far the repubs in congress are spineless. Look at how much crap he has pulled so far and congress just lets him get away with it. He's to blame but then again so is the congress of the U.S. There have been a bunch of impeachable offenses so far and they do nothing. BLUE FROM COAST TO COAST IN NOV.

I agree with everything you said. The thing is I really think he might be "Simply Insane" so I don't think he will see those actions as being something he shouldn't do.

4

He is brazenly serving his own self-interest without concern for anyone else, and without considering the long- term consequences.

He doesn’t know HOW to consider long term consequences.
