i like Haught's perspective on our limited journey on earth, but as to having no choice about the final curtain: my mother chose her finale at the age of 85, which is still 20 years ahead of me, & i'm currently not even able to choose a stress-free, non-bloodpressure-raising domestic life. so much for choice.
I imagine he was referring to not having a choice in dieing or not. We will ALL die and do not have a choice in that.
@jlynn37, yes, i get that. the choice exists, but it's limited. anyway, who'd want to live forever? imagine the implications: more & more people, in need of more & more bionic parts, destroying more & more of our planet, ...
@walklightly I won't be around to see any of it.
I hope I'm in a similar frame of mind at that age.
