How many boycott Chick fil-a for their anti gay stance? How many boycott stores for other reasons?

I don't boycott any stores. It's just not important to me and it probable does nothing to them. Chic-fil-a has a booming business where I live and will continue to do so.

I don't really consider it a boycott. I simply choose to give none of my money to Chick Fil-A because I don't want my money being spent to discriminate.

I won't shop at Wal-Mart because the Waltons have more than enough money to be able to pay a living wage, but they hoard it and treat their employees like shit.

There are a couple more national and local places I will not give my money to. The most striking local one is one of those really big Flea Markets in the South. Smiley's Flea Market, just south of Asheville, put up a huge sign right next to the main road in support of tRump and I have not been there since. I do my very best to support businesses which support treating people like they are important and like they matter.

Again, I appreciate all of the comments. I do think boycotting stores that promote a Christian fundamentalist world view is an effective way to be an atheist activist. Not all of us can write books or host podcasts. I applaud all who do this. By the way, I will add Cracker Barrel to the list of places to boycott.

Not really but do not eat there much due to my sister being allergic to peanuts and they fry in peanut oil

I don't really boycott. It makes no difference and even if it does, the only ones who will be hurt are the rank-and-file employees who can't afford to be picky about where they work. Jobs don't just grow on trees, you know.

That said, I won't set foot in a Hobby Lobby because the place makes me really uncomfortable.

I won't go to Chik-fil-a or Hobby Lobby. If anyone knows of other companies, let me know. I won't go to Jimmy Johns since he is a safari big game hunter. Of course anything Trump.

Amazon is a tough one since the selection and prices and time savings are incredible. But Bezos is worth $150 billion, but pays minimum wage without benefits. Some workers are on gov't assistance.

I also avoid Walmart.

I will not eat their homophobic chicken sammiches. I also don't buy jewelry making supplies from Hobby Lobby.

3

I do not spend any money at Hobby Lobby because of their bigotry. I confess that I have eaten at Chick fil-a in the past but it's much less likely to happen since I have learned how they re-spend my money. I won't donate to or shop at Goodwill stores anymore since learning about how badly they underpay the disabled people they hire. I can't do business with the Salvation Army since I learned that they attach religious strings to whatever help they offer.

Chick Fil-A for sure. Gap, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Lending Tree, FedEx when possible.
Your vote may not be counted but your dollar always is!

Yep...numerous companies. Yeungling for sure.

I've only eaten at one twice in my life. First time and last time. I don't like their food anyway. But, I probably wouldn't buy from them for a few reasons.
I stay away from companies that advertise their theist beliefs as part of their marketing, because I don't trust their thinking. My existence and life behaviors cover a lot of areas that they tend to be institutionally against. So, none of my money goes to them or others that hide behind their religions. I distrust their morals because they don't take responsibility for their own moral compass, so when they break their beliefs they claim that they will be forgiven. Zero accountability.

I boycott all fast food. I haven't had fast food or name brand sodas in 22 years....

That stuff is the root of our obesity culture.

Thanks for making an example of me lol

I don't go to chick film a nor hobby lobby nor wal mart.

Yeah I boycott Chick fil a and Hobby Lobby.

I haven’t boycotted anything yet. Would depend on the alternatives available. But I think it’s a fantastic way of getting your point across. Money talks more than votes do I think. Stop giving a company money and they’ll change their course or die off.
