Tonight's New York Times report proves that Trump was shown copies of Russian e=mails and documents that proved that the Russians were trying to influence our election and that Putin had ordered it. The fact that he has tried to deny that ever since means that he is conducting after-the-fact collusion with the Russians to hide or try to discredit the truth. It probably also means that he is trying to hide active collusion with the Russians BEFORE the fact.
It is time for all Republican politicians to grow the moral and patriotic gonads to remove this miserable excuse for a man from office for the well-being and safety of our nation, our democracy, our people. Freom this point on, failing of those politicians of denounce and remove Trump ASAP means that means that, for whatever reason, THEY are actively colluding with Trump AND the Russians to keep proper legal and constitutionally-based action from taking place, they and the Republican Party, itself, has become a clear and present danger to us and our country. If Republican politicians persist in this disgraceful behavior, we should work to discredit the entire party and its leaders. DEMAND moral and patriotic action by Republicans -- NOW!!

As much as that sounds good, it also sounds naive. Trump is like a bartender who found a bad batch of beer, long past its sell-by date. He so badly wants to get rid of it, but can't, in good conscience, just dump it, so he invites over a bunch of locals. At first, they complain about how bad the beer tastes; how much more it makes them pee; how much their families complain about the way it makes them smell when they get home. But they get hooked on the free, bad beer - enough so that when local residents complain about puke on the sidewalks and the increase in dangerous drivers on the roads, they defend the generosity and good nature of the bartender. They're not going to shut him down. They've heard the complaints against him and maybe even ceded the validity of those arguments (after wiping crust from the corner of the mouth or crawling from the overturned car), but they're not about to turn their backs on this nice guy who's supplying them with what they so desperately want and when he says he's got a YUGE amount of beer, so MANY kegs, he's got the most kegs of anybody in the business? No, that'd be a betrayal and they can't betray the guy who's brought so much joy and sense of accomplishment to their lives.

No, the party's seen all the evidence and they're aware of the direction it's taking the country, but they're not concerned. By party, I don't just mean the politicians, I mean the base, too. Not sure how catastrophic things need to be before enough of them think it serious enough to do something about it.

Too many Republicans are too morally compromised to shut Trump down. But, we must make decent people ashamed to be affiliated with a party so compromised, and we must then act together to dump all of the corrupt Republican politicians. That is not niave. It is true democracy in action. The key word is action -- not idle words or apathy.

You're absolutely right, of course. But it's not just trump...the entire party now seems to be cozy with Russia. You saw the GOP delegation in Moscow a week or so back?

The Republicans knew this too. So now PROOF is to be ignored. Protect the tribe at all costs.

The Republican Party has lost all semblance of honor and patriotism. It has become the party of corruption, greed, and treachery.
