Putin's assistance of Assad in Syria is nothing more than an act to flood Europe with millions of refugees to create European ethnocentirsm, bigotry, and political chaos -- and to weaken European politics and institutions and European links of the USA. In light of this, give me one non-treasonous reason why Trump is trying to affiliate himself with Putin.
