Here is my take on the Cross. In Roman times (when Jesus lived) the cross was a torture/death device. As we all know Jesus was crucified using one of these devices. To me, it is a representation of control by fear. "Do as we say, or we will do this to you." In the south, you'll see giant crosses prominently displayed along highways. This is not a friendly symbol. Many dictatorships have their symbols and very large statues of the current dictator openly displayed for all to see that this person and government is in charge of you. Please feel free to comment. Thx =)

Jesus isn't an actual person. He is a myth. He never lived.

Unless we have a time machine. Nobody will really ever know the real truth. Just think of your high school history book. Most of them are modified and sugar coated versions of actual events. Yet we as youths don't know any different because the teacher (an adult) must know more then us children we assume. But the real question is. Do we really know the truth about anything? Or do we really want to know the ugly truth about life? It is true as they say. Ignorance is bliss. Having knowledge is actually a huge burden. Ansers just lead to more questions. Keeps me up at night. I would like to have a little ignorance (bliss) so I might be able to get some decent sleep every once in a while.

Actually, Jesus is an actual person. I use to work with him at a former job. LoL

Good thing they did not decide to claim Vlad the Impaler as a religious symbol.

You are probably right.
People are awful!
There probably wasn't a "Jesus" though.
We lie all the time – this may be one of the lies that took off. Many do.

There is actually written record of that Jesus Christ existed. There is also kind of a police record so to speak of him. He was really a trouble maker. Much like the Occupy Movement protesters.

@Spag84 Yes, written records – written years later. Unlikely to be true. Here are two opposing articles.

@Beelzebant I wasn't there. So I really can't say. As with anything. Someone says it or wrights it. It is up to the individual to decide what they want to believe. And that's the thing about established religion. The man in the funny hat on the balcony said so. So I guess he's gotta be right because wearing that hat gives you the special power to talk to God. People are lazy and dumb. It's much easier to be told what to do, rather to think and act for yourself.

@Spag84 True.
And the man (never woman) in the funny hat protects other men in funny hats who physically and sexually abuse their charges – apparently mentally and emotionally abusing others is acceptable behaviour.
