Advantage of religions
It occurs to me that one big advantage of religions is that it allows me to dislike people as a group, rather than having to bother getting to know them one by one, and disliking them individually. Much more efficient.
New Life Church? Stupid sheep. Christian/Jewish/Muslim fundamentalists? Evil, nasty assholes! Catholics? Dumbass believers in superstitious claptrap! Scientologists? Science fiction fanboys! New Agers? Fantasy/Magick morons.
Sorry if I omitted your favorite. Feel free to add to the list.

I noticed nobody leapt to the defense of any of the groups I mentioned! It’s like finding out someone is a Trump voter — you could go along for an extended period and finally realize that they’re some awful combination of stupid, mean, lazy or nuts! Who has that much time to waste?

Hooray for identity politics! It's not just a way to simplify things. You can belong, and that's a big plus in a lonely world. And you can blame the 'other' for everything wrong, sometimes just venting on social media and other times you can run someone over in your car. No more grey areas, black and white, us and them, right and wrong. Polarisation is a blessing in an ever-growing complex world!

I dislike any of the Christianity type religions, but I like Thai Buddhism.

By the way, I noticed you haven't written a profile yet. This website has a bit of a learning curve.

For members who are open to dating, you will see that certain thumbnails and profiles have a heart symbol on them with a percentage. This identifies which members are open to dating, and the percent shows approximately how compatible you are with them. If you click the heart symbol on the top of their profile, you can see how it is determined.

You can improve your score in general by answering all the profile questions and writing a bio, which also earns you website points.

Commenting on posts and writing your own earns more points. At level two you can private message people, and at level eight you get an agnostic T-shirt.

The website uses profile algorithms to find member matches, so the more details one includes, the better the match.

Many people prefer to see a written profile talking about interests, hobbies, and backgrounds that can be quickly perused to find compatible partners.

In case you didn't know yet, to find members near you, click on the "Browse" button at the top of the page, then on "Members," and enter your preferred search parameters.
Click on the "Discuss" button, then "Nearby" to find members near you also.
Or click on the "About" button at the top left of the page to find links to FAQ or the website tutorial.
Points are now being given to level 3+ members who chat. You can see chat rooms on the group main page or at [agnostic.com].

Thanks for the helpful response. About the bio — I’m not actively looking for a relationship at the moment, but will add one if that changes. About the points — i Understand the desire to get people more involved, but this leads to postings like, what’s your favorite color? Who would you like to have dinner with? How do I break up with my boyfriend? And more junk like that. All for a t-shirt? Thanks, but I already have lots of t-shirts.
