A single guy neighbor of mine is a Buddhist and into Japanese flower arranging (Ikebana). He's very serious about it. Teaches it now, I understand (he moved away to another city a year or so ago). He was fun to have around. We had an arrangement while he lived across the street from me ... he would trim my plants in exchange for the cuttings. Nice!

If anyone ever gets me flowers, I prefer a rose or hibiscus plant, you know, so I can plant it.
