A Jewish person might remember better but I think goats and cloven hoofed animals were prohibited as sacrifice. It was usually a lamb or if you were poor, you’d catch two turtle doves to offer. And they wish they got driven into the wilderness or set free; thats no sacrifice. Might be a few other options I forgot but they’d slit the animal’s throat and burn the animal on an altar, couldn’t eat the meat or use it for anything useful. This is the god that thinks idolatry is too disrespectful. He asked us for all this ritual death bullshit. ?‍

@Wurlitzer Much correct without looking it up in the OT because this isn't Sunday School. As far as a sacrifice goes, Jesus only had a bad weekend. He knew the outcome and so did god. It's kind of like being in the National Guard.
