The Ark Encounter is now and has always been a massive embarrassment for my state. Fortunately, Young Earth Creationism doesn't seem to be catching on, as the "ark" has attracted just 1/3 of the visitors it was expected to when it opened.
Also, just so we're clear: Fuck Ken Ham.

It's hard for me to fathom that Ham convinced everyone on this venture as the people are the ones that will pay for it all in taxes. What a stupid idea. Also, the Ark is always depicted as a big boat. Why a boat? Why would it have that appearance and where was it going to sail to? I've read the measurements and it was like a great big box. The entire story is preposterous!
