When people are asking for prayers say, for a loved one who is ill, what are your responses? I prefer to tell them “my thoughts are with you”.

Thoughts may accomplish more than prayers.

Nice statement I will use it.

Don't Pray. Thinking of you.

prayers have been shown to actually have a positive impact i don't do religion or believe in a all powerful being but i believe we are all part of the universe or what ever and evil thoughts bring bad luck and trying not to hurt others purposefully or wishing them well also brings good

ianla vanzant once said something i actually took to heart she said if someone hurts you its easy to curse them for the dog they might be and it hurts you more because as a dog he/she could care less instead wish them well and really in your heart hope all their crops are abundant because they taught you a lesson you needed to learn even if it is only what you never again want in your life

I do the same. Thoughts are about as effective as prayers, after all, and it's awkward to say nothing at all.
