What goes through your mind when the Xmas season comes around? How do you react to “Merry Xmas”? How was your Xmas? What are you plans for it?

At the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around and tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year. Seinfeld

I don't celebrate xmas. Enjoy the holidays though and wish all "Happy Holidays".

Mmmmm, eggnog season. I see nothing wrong with celebrating whatever holiday you want to. There are numerous ones at that time of year to choose from. Personally, I kinda like Saturnalia for the debauchery aspects.

Say...maybe we could get some SATURNALIA UBER ALLES cards?

I typically say "Happy Solstice".

We have a Solstice party every year. The sun is real and always returns after the Solstice.

Frankly, I shudder when I begin to see Santa and snowmen and creches, etc. My country is taken hostage by Christians and their insistence that we ALL MUST PARTAKE of their rituals. I guarantee there will be angry letters to editors DEMANDING that we all "put Christ back in Christmas" and bemoaning a non-existent "war" on their holiday.

@Dan1947 I should have added that I always respond to those ''letters to the editor'' with a well-reasoned and articulate letter defending our rights to NOT have their holiday in every aspect of life. And, the local papers always print it.

Holiday was originally celebrated to mark the winter solstice, long before the keep Christ in Christmas crowd showed. I put out a lighted Santa, ms Claus, and tree in the yard. Inside has lights in the window and a few other decorations but I do not have a tree.
