What do you do when you get your hopes up then get thrown down an elevator shaft?
I continue to be amazed at my resilience on the one hand, and lament that after each time that happens I'm a little bit diminished.
I've never been one to suggest that suffering is ennobling. We'd unquestionably be better off without it. However ... one learns to expect less and to be unattached to what expectations one retains.
Was chasing several notches down think I will class up.
Guess at that point all you could do is enjoy the ride down, while it lasts that is...
I do enjoy free fall. I sometimes wake from a dream in free fall it is exhilarating.
I hope for the best, prepare for the worst & never allow myself to be too hopeful about anything. Yeah, ok kinda sucks but I tend to be pleasantly surprised more often than not & not devestated due to unrealistic e,expectations.
that is very good advice I will have to add that to the Vulcan like dossier in my mind.
@azzow2 lets be honest, if random fuck #238 aspires to be the head asshat of the internet red hat, white man, hate everyone else club, I got to much real life problems (my hvac died & I need a complete new unit) to get frustrated trying to change a closed mind. Better to block & keep it moving than to invest in that lost cause.
@SallyInStitches I do not do the random intercourse thing. I try to find logic then do what I do best strategies and maximize my potential.
Apart from getting my former mother-in-law loaded on White Russians, the quickest and best way to ruin the good and fun times is to load them up with expectations in advance.
Live and learn. I refuse to get twitterpated over a man before meeting.
Was not a cyber friend.
@Bendog
White Russian is a drink.
Recipe: 1.5 oz vodka. 1 oz coffee liqueur; 1 oz cream. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
Or substitute nonfat milk for creme.
It is very deflating, however, in time I manage to go on.
Think by this point after so many times it would be easier.
