Quite common in nature - Honeybees are a common example of a polyandrous behavior.

It does exist among human societies. Usually where resources (eg land) are scarce. Related males (brothers, etc) will marry the same woman.

Tibet, Bhutan, India, tribes in Africa (eg the Maasai), the Inuit, the Aleut, tribes in South America and in Oceania all have examples of polyandrous societies.

I don't even want one husband!

Sometime back , I read that in Tibet , where the weather and the terrain make food supplies in short supply , that infant females are routinely killed off in favor of male infants . Which means , when the males reach adulthood , there are never enough females to go around . I read that due to the female shortage , that when a female marries , she also marries the her groom's brother (s) , as well . Don't know if that's true . But bearing in mind the one child law in China , which was put in place some thirty or so years ago , and their now over supply of adult males , it does make a kind of sense .

There are some tribes in remote places that do it , not sure where just remember reading something about it .......they all bloody crazy you ask me more than one partner in your life is just asking for headaches

All the religions were male dominated.Women were there for their lust.Women have always been treated like second class citizens.
