What activity is the single biggest source of happiness in your life ?

Dancing. There are a lot of music festivals and concerts in the park this time of year. I also like hanging out with friends and BBQs.

Anything with my daughter and/or fosterling daughters, and I venture out from there ...

I love hiking to alpine lakes surrounded by white glaciers and jagged mountain peaks. After dark, I look up and feel awed by the glowing Milky Way and billions of sparkling stars. We all need more low-level ecstasy in our lives.

You always hike in such beautiful places..do you ever come to Europe to hike?

I live in beautiful North Central Washington. All of these photos are near where I live.

The only exception is the second photo. It was taken from the summit of Mt. Townsend, Olympic Mountains, Washington State.

When I was 15, my parents took our family to Europe on an art tour. That was one of the best things they did for me. Fell in love with the art and sculpture of Michelangelo.

No point in traveling to Europe to hike, since I have spectacular hiking areas in Washington State where I live.

People from all over the world come here to hike in the fabled Enchantment Lakes, Washington State.

That makes perfect sense.. no need for satin..when you are surrounded by silk..
