I don't mean to brag, but I can annoy my teenage daughter just by existing!

Does annoying my son count?

You've got that superpower too? xD

It's a good sign, actually, showing that children are starting to identify with their peers instead of just their families. They are choosing lifetime roles, preferences, clothing and food tastes, imprinting on the particular society of their peers.

Admitting even to themselves that they are still children, subject to parental control, embarrasses them. In other cultures, teens would already be married, making a living, or apprenticed somewhere, not hanging around the house.

"Modern Family" humorously makes fun of a child who fails to rebel in the child character "Manny" who tries to court girls using techniques from the 1930s, LOL!

That's a job requirement and perk

It is in the job description of being a mother to annoy the hell out of our teenage children!

Empty nester and happy camper... I don't miss any of that ? I have two daughters, I have paid my dues ?

Same. And if I dare ask her to do the dishes.... extraordinary

@FlippantLlama mine is 17 so...yeah. I told her if she was a man I'd have done whooped her ass. Lol

@FlippantLlama It's just me and her and I am ill-equipped I think.

My mom raised 4 boys and a girl, said boys were easy, my sister tho...dayum.

Its a beautiful moment maybe in a way. I have seen some of my daughter's strength and learning what is strength right there 🙂

If only you could monetize that talent...

It is a common occurrence among teens and it is funny that it happens all over when the teen becomes a parent.

Go llama!! Go llama!!

My youngest has a couple years yet, but I'm getting a running start. I accept his eye rolls as affirmation of my efforts.
