In ancient times men wrote down the wisdom of their time, but we, as a society, have become morally superior to the so-called ancient wisdom.. .

@Matias Well, we no longer prescribe the death penalty for the smallest of infractions, we no longer sell our daughters into (sexual) slavery when times are hard (actually advocated in the bible). Those are just a couple of examples. Granted we still have a very long way to go, but we have definitely progressed beyond the morality of ancient religious texts.
