I don't think it's so much about trying to lump all Muslims in to one basket though. It's about seeing what percentage are actually willing to assimilate to our country and culture like immigrants of the past, not hold on to what we consider regressive and perhaps dangerous cultural ideas...

@Captain_Feelgood. in charge of that stuff, are ya? Whatever nationality your family was, I doubt they liked being told how to dress, eat, worship...do you not think it is horribly hard to have to uproot yourself from things you knew all your life, for an unknown place, and be criticized for looking/talking/dressing/eating/ worshipping "different"="wrong"? on top of that stress? They say "moving" (just in the same country) is one of the 3 biggest stressors in anyone's life...cut some slack here!

You make it sound like these people were kidnapped and forced to move here, told they have to dress in western clothes, eat pork, pray to a different god, etc... none of that is what has happened. They WANTED to come here. If they come here, they have to follow our laws. ls that asking too much to you? lf someone rents a room in your house, do you not have ground rules to follow? You don't get to move to this country and start your own courts administering your Sharia laws. lt doesn't work that way..

@Captain_Feelgood. they "wanted" to come here to escape intolerable confditions, like no food or water.....which probably was caused by USA meddling in the first place. I am saying cut them some slack! And Orthodox Jews can & do have their own courts, so why no satanists, Muslims, etc etc? Again, who decides?
