It seems to me that it is alright for you or I to give up thing in order to save the planet but heaven forbid that the 1% change their lifestyle.
I am waiting for ocean front property value to drop like a rock.

I just now realized you may be trying to be sarcastic (make fun of the idiots that make that assertion). If you were, I have found the preface SARCASM ALERT to be a necessary notice to avoid confusion.
In the past I have made such stupid (what I thought were obvious satire) assertions trying to be sarcastic (even under the headings of (fun) and people will still assume I am being serious and am just an idiot. After using SARCASM ALERT those problems disappeared.
You would be surprised how many people in these pages honestly assert nonsense thinking their claim had any merit.

Exactly ! Global warming applies to the whole planet, not local changes. There are planet-wide changes occurring. But there will still be cold air, winter, snow, all that.
Anyone observing, can easily notice the increasing extremes in weather around the world. Not good.
@evergreen Weather is a short time interval. Climate is a wider time scale and presents a more accurate picture of trends.
Those that will take a single day or two that is below average and conclude that day or two anomaly somehow discredit decades of well documented increasing global temperatures trends evoke a face-palm.
How can people be so detached from reality? Do they not realize how foolish they sound to those that have actually studied the facts?
A correlation I have noted is those that do NOT use facts to determine truth are also those that employ faith (belief without evidence) (the foundation of religion) to define "truth" Sad.
