Yep. My sister posted a photo on Facebook -- her kids and husband waiting at the airport, all on their phones with headsets. She called it, "the modern family on vacation." And of course she snapped the photo with her phone.

From Google - "Idiot" was formerly a legal and psychiatric category of profound intellectual disability, where a person's mental age is two years or less, and he or she cannot guard himself or herself against common physical dangers.

Say it with me: "gun control" ....how about everyone that is not an idiot learn to control a gun smile001.gif

fyi - bigger bullets do not mean bigger holes. how much damage a bullet does is determined by how much explosive is in the cartridge. so big bore gun ammunition typically has much less penetration but a bit more knock down power (torque). a smaller caliber bullet with higher velovity will often break apart on contact and rip a person to shreds.

No it will not become that. We will adapt as will out ecomonic systems. Societies of more sharing & good will will be a part of it. The ecomonimcs will be for a standard basic income, Universal Healthcare, Public Schooling for everyone qualified. There will be adjustments & one will be that High Earners will have to start to pay their Fair Share in Taxes. There will be VAT taxes, etc. Bookkeeping will become simple because most of those taxes a collected at the point of sale. Leaving less room for tax avoidance.

Technology has an upside and a downside, a double edged sword. Back in 1995 many people began using IM's Like MSN Messenger and Skype. Suddenly, people were able to hold video conversations with friends and relatives who were hundreds and sometimes, thousands of miles apart. Frequent videos conversations may have led to a decline in people visiting each other as they could chat on video on a daily basis.

I have seen people walk across a busy road whilst looking at the screen on their mobile phones and that sometimes results in serious or fatal injury, especially, when driving a vehicle. Colleagues at work will quietly sit in a room during a lunch break and not speak to each other as they are too busy sending text messages to someone. It has been said by some people that the use of mobile phones has resulted in a decline in the attention span of young people and adults.

I think that all tech does is give idiots a greater reach to express their idiocy. No, I don't exclude myself. That would be silly.

A matter of time. But we will "meld" with the AI and the chips and such... it will happen, perhaps in my lifetime. A different humanity. The end as we know it? Yes. The end of humanity? I doubt it.

Was Einstein considered a "master communicator" or an "accomplished lecturer"?

It's already full of idiots who fell for his ludicrous theories of relativity instead of following the more rational Lorentz.
