Trump may seem irrational and slow minded but he's actually a talented manipulator. He now has thousands of preachers across the country telling their "sheep" how to vote in Nov.

The New York Times reports another act of presidential irresponsibility, as President Trump tried to scare evangelical leaders at a closed-door White House meeting. According to people who attended, Trump issued dire warnings of “violence” ؙ— saying the word three times in rapid succession — if Republicans should lose control of Congress in the mid-term elections. “I just ask you to go out and make sure all of your people vote,” Mr. Trump said.

Do you think he targeted "believers" do to their willingness to believe the unbelievable?

Well, DUH. That's what he does.
Actually, he follows the advice of Machiavelli in "The Prince" very well.

The sheep never really have anywhere to go other than the Republican Party. It doesn't take much to motivate a person to go down the same path every election.

His believers, the evangelical , was identifies as the most likely to believe fake news. Go figure right, Russia tried to hit on the democrats but we unfortunately fact checked things before surrendering. So without doubt Trump followed the religious base and even pretends he is religious. Then the Russian propaganda tells the religious base a plan that Trump is biblical in message. Wow, only they would buy into this shit.
