To be honest I think that human pheromones have a lot to do with love at first sight so it's kind of really in a way lust at first sight IE biological programming

I thought I did, but then experience keeps proving me wrong. 🙂 One really needs to get to know someone first, because compatibility is just too critical. Besides, "first sight" is simply physical attraction, and has little to do with actual love.

Powerful pull, attraction, lust even - but love ? I don't think so.

Been there, done that and it's awesome !!!

I've never experienced it.....but not to say it hasn't or couldn't for some.

I would say it is infatuation then love. I think most would like to the ideal of “love at first sight” but I personally do not care really what someone looks like, rather who they are on the inside. And love the person for who they, and not what they are..

"Love at first sight" is a fantasy promoted by Disney movies, stupid romance movies, ads and romantic comedies.

Suddenly I'm hit by a lightning bolt of love, running through a flowery field with birds and butterflies fluttering about in a flowing, white dress as orchestra music crescendos into the arms of... CUT.

What's that tickling feeling? Ticks.

I believe in cathexis at first sight, love goggles, etc. But love? No, real love takes time to grow.

I believe more in an instant connection. I've met one of the most important people in my life and to love him and only be his friend is torture, but meant to be.

Cis, hetero men can "fall in love" when they see a beautiful woman, but has more to do with lust and hormones than with true appreciation of that person.

Being attracted to a person, wanting to be with that person, and certainly carnal knowledge are all wonderful to experience but you must get to know them and be certain they didn't vote for Trump before you can fall in love with them.

I believe. It happened to me. Never went away.

Unless, of course, we're talking first sight of a dessert buffet.

I tend to think it's lust at first sight. I have to get to know a person before actual love happens.

Right on, but it sure was fun and then it lasted 36 years.
