There are soooo many terms these days for things that have been going on forever.
Technology has just made it all more obvious. It does put everything into a clearer perspective though.

I do not believe I have ever talked to an actual potential date on a text they all have been scammers. I do mess with them pretty intensely though.

It's not new..people do it all the time.
Most women don't really want to run off all their male admirers, even if the guys are homely and nerdy, so they are semi-polite to keep them hanging around hopefully.
