I live in a town called Granby in Western Massachusetts. We are very close to Amherst the host town for three colleges: the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Amherst College, and Hampshire College.
The climate here is typical New England, which means it goes very quickly from 100 degrees in August to 60 degrees in September with very little transitional weather in between.
I live on a little less than seven acres, which is mostly grass and maple trees. I'm hoping to plant apple trees in the spring. We have started a little organic garden, which we hope to expand in 2019. We have 10 chickens, and I sell eggs to my students and to anybody else that wants organic free-range eggs.
I teach out of my home during the week. It's a lovely and ideal setting for music lessons.
I have a daughter who moved to Barre last summer, east of Quabbin. It's beautiful country
Awesome- not too far from there-my Dad's family had a farm in Amherst, MA that got sold to a golf course in the 50s.
Sounds idyllic, though the 100 degrees would be a bit too hot for me. I live in the cooler climes of Northern Ireland. Lovely studio.
@fidla You could always go on holiday to somewhere cooler at that hot time...over here for instance! Ha ha.
