When I was 21 I had a realization that magic exists, but instead of being "supernatural" it is actual knowledge about how everything works. It seems boring but think about it; the natural world is just as amazing as any fantasy magic.

That is in essence what magicians do...they understand the laws of physics, optics, and human psychology to trick us for, good or evil. That's some powerful juju anyway you look at it.

True, but I was aiming at a more fundamental level. The universe follows it's own rules regardless of man's understanding. Understanding the rules allows us to create technology that for all intents is magic. Also, just because I don't understand something does not mean I feel that it cannot be understood. We all have a capacity to understand things, and most people ignore that ability.
@arnies That's the fundamental difference between faith and science. I might not be able to completely understand theoretical physics, but I know if I dedicate myself to it, I can achieve a level of competency to demystify it. With a dedication to study a faith, you're no better off in the end than you were in the beginning.
