I went to a Chicago White Sox baseball game yesterday afternoon. we had pretty good seats and happened to be seated a row in front of prominent evangelical ministers,
one of their wives and an adult child. the two guys
had driven to Madison on saturday and attended the Wisconsin Badgers first football game of the season.
about the 5th inning the older of the two ministers began speaking of bacterial flagella and the proof they provided
of intelligent design in the constant argument with with
agnostic evolutionists. as they spoke i picked their brains;
it was all very interesting. the older guy in particular was
quite smug in the idea that he finally had 'them'. finally,
their science wasn't going to be able to find an answer
to this question. the complexity of the flagella proved there
was a god. i found this science based article refuting everything they discussed. be well, Ross [abc.net.au]
Were either of them wearing glasses on their perfect god eyes? I love showing folk the blind spot in human eyes.
Sadly, if you choose to believe something without proof, then proof won't dissuade you; I've found that arguing with these wing nuts is useless.
But some here claim to have been turned from religion by the arguments of atheists, so maybe I'm wrong.
