More on my post about controlling the weather, since people asked me about it. Like I said, anyone can do it, but I usually don't tell anyone because I don't want weather control competition.

In 1980 I made the mistake of telling my elementary class at a private school in Durango, CO, about our ability to control the weather, and the little blighters immediately decided to make it snow in April so they could go sledding.

I objected, and we had an argument but I finally said they could have three inches but it had to melt by noon. It started snowing almost immediately and kids kept running outside to check the snow depth with a ruler.

It stopped snowing at exactly 3 inches and at recess they all rushed out to go sledding. When they came back in, the temp rose again and it was all gone by noon.

My kids controlled the weather since they were toddlers, and thought nothing of it because I taught them they could.

Please send some rain to California. We are on fire.

I considered it, but I'm furious over the climate change denial, fracking and wasting ground water, etc. etc. no accountability since Trump took over. After the election, I stopped paying attention to the US weather except if something came near my daughter, in KY. I've been hoping people will see the folly of all the oil based development and turn against Trump.Anyway, I just stopped trying.

Besides, why should I do something? Anyone can tell the weather what to do, so the people who live there should do something. When I left Durango, CO, after living here for three years and turning it green, it reverted to desert land. I had a brother-in-law still living there who was used to asking me to change the weather for him so he could play tennis, etc., and I told him he was on his own..he could tell the weather what to do in Durango from then on. He complained about it and never did anything.

For the science-challenged atheists who think we're helpless victims of the universe:

Physics indicates that we are participating in creating our own universes/reality.

“Consciousness is fundamental, and matter is derived from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics

Quote:

“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction.

Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter.

Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature

You must not believe in science, LOL!

But if you are a troll, I'll just block you.

@birdingnut Ya know, actually I agree with you. i have studied some quantum theory and i really do think that we on some level that we are mostly unaware of do create our own reality. For instance; this web site is here because we all agree that it is here. Sounds weird but at a quantum level that seems to be what is happening. In my own life i have had a few times where something happened or appeared that I was aiming for in my life or just seemed to know that it would happen.
After all we as the consciousness of the universe are, dare I say it? god.

@starwatcher-al NOW you're getting it. WE are our own gods.

@birdingnut even without my now beliefs, a long time ago I had that idea. It takes the entire universe and all the life forms in it to be the "god"

@starwatcher-al There's no difference..we are ALL the same energy..really, everything is just one photon. Time is an illusion. Every time is "now."

"For physicists, the distinction between past, present and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion." -Einstein
