Recently ran out of Netflix series to watch, so began watching "Salvation."

So far, it doesn't bore or annoy me like most of the other shows.

Plot: the discovery of an asteroid that will impact the Earth in six months, highlighting attempts to prevent it and its worldwide power clashes, personal relationship crises, etc.

There is plenty of eye candy and cast includes biracial and Asian characters, such as Japanese/Caucasian Ian Anthony Dale, who plays Harris Edwards, the United States Deputy Secretary of Defense.

His son, Dylan Edwards, is played by South Korean American, André Dae Kim.

This sounds like an interesting show. I will be checking it out. Thanks for the heads up. I am finding it more and more difficult to find shows that keep my interest.

I'm waiting for the bad weather before I go back to watching much TV.
Haven't finished the new Lost in space yet.

In this case you can see it as salvation from the asteroid. Even so, this doesn't interest me. BTW, when you do get "religious" even in bad ways, I watched a preview of "Veronica" on Netflix and laughed my head off. I'm not watching that either.

Salvation is the name of the space craft "ark" the main protagonist built as a plan B, in case they couldn't divert the oncoming asteroid.

@birdingnut OK. I can see where it would be interesting but it just is not interesting to me. Armageddon with Bruce Willis was another such venture.

@DenoPenno Naw, I didn't like those other asteroid-destroying-the-earth movies. Too intense and annoying. This one is filled with enough fresh young faces, diverse ethnic backgrounds, and romantic side plots to ease boredom.

Sounds interesting but still not enough to make me want to get a TV.
