(this brainwashing is a bit like that! i mean that collective subconscious isn't.) it's more like a common tune our ancestors hummed.

Are you referring to the "collective unconscious?" I won't pretend to be a psychology expert, but I always thought of it as ancestral memory. Like there are things we just know deep down. Things that are hardwired into us, but that we never think much about in our conscious minds. Instincts, perhaps? Not sure how any of that can account for the tragic choice of Trump as president. Brain washing a bunch of lazy-minded sheep is more like it.

You're correct. The term is 'collective unconscious' and it was part of Jung's theory of personality.
Trump was elected because American didn't want Hillary and because he appealed to people's base thoughts about minorities.
I never heard the term collective subconsciousness...

americans did and do want hillary. that is why even with the russian interference she got almost three million more votes than trump did. the electoral college doesn't represent what the american people want, and the russians sure as hell don't either. republicans? republicans want money and power, period.

@beerhungry what ABOUT bernie? it is normal to have more than one person running in a party's primary. only one can win. hillary won. bernie decided to support her. he had already promised not to be a spoiler (run as a third-party candidate). however, jill stein and the russians WANTED spoilers, so she became it. it worked, to an extent, but hillary still won the popular vote. bernie continues to be the senator from vermont. he continued to caucus with the democrats. as far as i know, he and hillary are still friends, as they were before. the statement was that the people didn't want hillary. the popular vote says otherwise. we were talking about the general election, not the primaries.
