What is spiritual transformation, where does it come from, and why do we do it?
A spiritual transformation is a change – to a greater or lesser extent – to someone’s outlook, or to their attitude, towards spirituality and sacredness.
Here's an article and something i found interesting to think about on a lovely, rainy Sunday. Enjoy the self-exploration. LLOL

i don't do spiritual transformations because i am not a spiritual person. i do not think spirituality is less delusional than religion. i don't buy into it. i am me, i am here now, i am not alone because other people are here now too i care about them in a general sense, i care about some individuals in a specific sense, and i do my best. i try to keep learning.

I am constantly changing my attitude and outlook to flex with what life presents to me. I don't see any reason to embellish that as "spiritual".
The article seems to be going "the dark night of the soul" route. As such, it certainly doesn't make "spirituality" sound very attractive. It makes it sound angsty and painful. It also seems dangerously close to claiming that suffering is ennobling.
well, why in the world would i want to change TOWARD spirituality and sacredness, when i equate spirituality with religion-light and eschew the concept of sacredness? i am still learning how best to live in this world. i don't need mumbo-jumbo and that is what these two "goals" are. feh!
