This political cartoon is not meant to condemn all rich people or begrudge anyone their success. It's a comment on a system that's become increasingly rigged to benefit the very few. There are plenty of rich people who've pointed this out, including Seattle entrepreneur Nick Hanauer and Warren Buffett (who once famously said his secretary's income is taxed at a higher rate than his). There are also organizations like Patriotic Millionaires whose members who believe they should be taxed more. Members of Responsible Wealth also pledge to make up the amount they should be paying in taxes by giving that amount to charity.

Working for a living makes little money. It's money that really makes a lot of money. It's all about what you own that generates money.

I don't know. There are exceptions to that rule. I've seen it. I think it's best not to throw people into categories. We are all individuals, rich and poor alike.

The only way to get rich when your family is not is by generating value with your work and making you work hour be more valuable.
BUT this does not guarantee success, for every one that becomes rich there are hundreds better than him, more hard worker, smarter etc, in the end is like a lottery. It is easy after the guy makes all right that everyone thinks he was smart and saw what others don't.
It's not that the first example never happens, but it is not a guarantee like "they" would have us believe. It is almost an anomaly. The second pie is pretty much a sure thing, though.

Why is it we must have more consideration for the feelings of the wealthy than the lives and opportunities of the poor. Fuck 'em if they can't handle the truth and see the need for change.
